Andrea Kolometz Mateer


Andrea received her BS in Business Administration from Jacksonville University and subsequently her MBA in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. At present, she spends her time painting, traveling, and collecting art with her husband, John.


She currently has an art studio in Clay Times Art Center on South 3rd Street in Fernandina Beach. Her preferred mediums are Oils and Acrylics. She is a member of the Island Art Association (IAA) where she has served on many committees and board positions and was Board President for 2015 and 2016, is currently on the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival Board where she holds the position of secretary, has volunteered in teaching crafts to the participants at the Council on Aging (COA) of Nassau County, FL, worked with the Fernandina Little Theater designing and implementing set design, and worked with Fernandina Beach Main Street to expand and enhance the monthly Artrageous Artwalks. She intermittently teaches water colors on various cruise ships as a freelance artist. She also gives private painting lessons in oil, oil and cold wax and oil with palette knife.
