Pamela Ayres

Gallery Manager & Photographer

My love of art came from my grandfather, Sherman Murphy, an artist who worked in oil, watercolor, and charcoal. That interest flourished when I moved to Amelia Island. I fell in love with the beauty of Amelia Island and the surrounding coasts, as well as the natural flora and fauna of the area. I spend a lot of time with my camera walking, hiking, biking, kayaking, and golfing around the island and area. Walking the beaches at sunrise has inspired me with opportunities to photograph beautiful sunrises, beaches, birds, and sea creatures.

I always wanted to mix my business background with my interest in the arts and opening 2nd Story Gallery & Studios was the perfect opportunity for me. My photography is displayed at 2nd Story Gallery & Studios in Fernandina Beach, the Plantation Artists' Guild & Gallery on Amelia Island, and on pjvphotographicvisions.com. Projects include framed photographs, gallery boards, mini gallery blocks, acrylic mounted photographs and blocks, notecards and holiday cards.

My work is simple and reflects the beauty of the area where I live. I am thrilled that I can provide memories of Amelia Island and the surrounding area for visitors and residents to enjoy for years.
